"The Little Black Crow" featuring Erica Rosen for Chaos Magazine

A little while ago I had the absolute pleasure of shooting Erica Rosen @ Clyne/Elite, an international model from New York. Our shoot "The Little Black Crow" has just been featured in Chaos Magazine. I love this shoot and think Erica looks like a total babe! Styling and Creative Direction by Helle Weston, Hair and Makeup by the extremely talented Rebekah Banks. "Under Grey Waters" featuring Bec Downes and Tyller McCulloch

This is a shoot titled "Under Grey Waters" featuring international model Bec Downes @ Red 11 and model Tyller McCulloch @ KHM. It was such an intense shoot for the models but they both did amazing! Hair, makeup and styling by the talented Olga Gill. I was so pleased with the result and loved how the series turned out. On the day I had some major technical issues with some lights I had borrowed so I ended up moving our whole set outside and using only natural light...which I ended up loving! I got Tyller, one of the models, to do a piece of writing to go with the shoot. Check out some more of her stuff here. All in all I really love this series and the strong concept behind it. Enjoy!

"Good Girls Don't" featuring Laura Scaife

This shoot titled "Good Girls Don't" is something I shot a while ago now at night in an empty car park. The shoot features model Laura Scaife @ 62, styling by Rebecca Flavell, Hair by Vladimir Moiseev and Makeup by Olga Gill. It was such a fun shoot, and I love the mood created by the location and lighting.

Sophie Boxer 2012 Lookbook and Campaign

My things in Magazines

A little while ago I did a shoot with Makeup Artist Rebekah Banks and model Kirsten Davies @red11. Just recently it has been published in Images Magazine...check it out :)

As well as this, I also assist a few photographers every now and then and I'm lucky enough to be assisting Photographer Fiona Quinn quite recently. She does a lot of Editorial for M2Women Magazine and when I assist her I also take photos for the Behind The Scene segment of the magazine. So thought I'd show some of my Behind the Scenes Photos in the latest M2Women magazine. Shoot features model Tori Trigg @red11.

Portfolio Shoot: Laura T

Recently I got approached to do some portfolio shots for model/actor Laura T. We had a nice relaxed day in studio shooting with Rebekah Banks doing Hair and Makeup. We had so much fun shooting and I just wanted to share a few of the images with you all. Laura wanted a few different looks for her portfolio before she heads overseas, so we started with some really natural looks and then did some more creative edgy fashion looks. This is hopefully going to be a regular thing for me so if you know anyone that's after some nice images to build or update their portfolio let them know.

"The Fallen" - Underwater shoot featuring India Wray-Murane

This is an underwater shoot I did not so long ago featuring India @ red11. India is a surfer so was amazing under the water. I wanted the images to have a very painterly feeling to them and evoke a strong narrative. I love the effect water gives an image, it takes you to another world, it's fascinating. Styling by Maria Shans, Hair and Make up by Olga Gill.

Beauty Shoot: Maeghan Donnelly

These are some of my favourite images from a beauty shoot I did not so long ago of new model Maeghan Donnelly @ Red11. I teamed up again with the talented Rebekah Banks who did hair and make up. The beautiful flowers make summer feel oh so close!

I shot this editorial for Bullet Magazine titled "Within Arms Reach" featuring Rhiannon Smith @ Red 11. I worked with an amazing team and think the images really speak for themselves, they are so powerful and full of tension. Make up was done by the talented Grayson Coutts, Hair by Vladimir Moiseev and styling by Maria Shans.

Model Test: The Lovely Lili

Meet Lili...she is one of my favourite models I have shot to date. We shot this in a small abandoned section in St. Heliers one morning. Beautiful makeup and hair was done by Rebekah Banks and Lili styled the shoot herself, wearing all her own wonderful clothes and accessories. These are a few of mine and Lili's favourite shots from the shoot. This girl is going places, there's just something about her that is so awesome!

I really love this shoot and the vibrance of it, perfect for the amazing summer just around the corner!

Fashion Week

I got the chance to photograph a few of the shows during Fashion Week this year, with very limited camera equipment I must add. I was quite disappointed in the shots I got but thought I would share a few of the ok ones with you. To be honest I found myself simply watching the shows most of the time. Next year I will have my new camera and really be able to take the photos I want. Bring on NZ Fashion Week 2012 :)

Beauty Shoot - Chantal Naef

This is a shoot I did very recently of the beautiful Chantal @ KHM, she was over here from Sydney for Fashion Week so I jumped at the chance to photograph her. Hair and Makeup was done by the extremely talented Rebekah Banks. I hand made all the head and neck pieces for the shoot to add something personal. Not much more to say than that, I think the images speak for themselves. What a stunning girl!

Lorita and Aaron's little Bump

The other night I had the pleasure of photographing Lorita and Aaron which was my first pregnancy photo shoot, I've been wanting to shoot someone pregnant for ages, so (with some convincing) I got Lorita and her husband Aaron over for a cute wee shoot together. Really happy with how they turned out. All the best to both of you and your little baby xx

Underwater Self Portraits

Just recently I got approached to exhibit some of my photography, which meant I had to dig up some old work of mine from my final semester at uni...so thought I would share it with you. This was a self portrait series titled "I Of The Beholder". This is single handedly the most personal work I have ever done to this day, even looking at it now still stirs up many emotions. I worked so hard on it and really grew as a person from the therapeutic experience. I am so glad I did it. Enjoy x

These are some photographs I took of new model Johhny from N Model Management. The graffiti at the location was so awesome, a prefect backdrop for some relaxed natural images. This guy is so cool!
